Sasa Martinovic, PT, DPT is the Director of Therapy Services for Palmetto Advanced Therapy Services (PATS).
Sasa is a graduate of Carson Newman University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science – Professional Studies in 2007. He continued his education at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga from 2007-2010, where he completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT).
Martinovic’s experience includes three years as a Staff Physical Therapist at Ortho Tennessee Outpatient Rehabilitation in Knoxville, TN and most recently five years at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Jefferson City, TN and Lakeway Regional Hospital in Morristown, TN as Director of Rehabilitation Department. During his tenure at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, he successfully expanded the rehabilitation department to include full-time Speech Pathologist and Occupational Therapist for inpatient acute care, swing bed program and outpatient clinics.
Additionally, Martinovic is currently completing his Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) through the McKenzie Institute, which is a system of evaluating common back and neck problems using mechanical principles, applying reverse force to a mechanical injury to end pain and restore function.
Martinovic and his family relocated to Charleston in December 2018. When he is not helping patients with their physical therapy needs, he enjoys spending time with his wife and five children.
